Havana’s Big Smoke Went Dark, But Haskins Is Lighting Up

Cigar News Flash: the legendary Festival del Habano in Havana, one of the crown jewels of the cigar calendar, has been postponed indefinitely due to Cuba's ongoing energy crisis. The five-day celebration, where cigar aficionados from 70+ countries gather to smoke, learn, trade and immerse in Cuban tobacco culture, won’t be lighting up the Malecón this year. Organizers say they’re holding off until the island can deliver the full experience.

Yeah … that’s rough. But, before you mourn those lost Havana vibes, something awesome for cigar and bourbon lovers is happening right here in Northwest Ohio!

Tuesday: Haskins Gets Lit

No need for jet fuel. No power outages. No embargo headaches. Haskins Hideout Cigar and Bourbon Lounge opens Tuesday, and the fun starts the moment the lights flip on at noon. We’re talking about:

  • Premium cigars: Padron, Arturo Fuente, Perdomo, Oliva, and Ozzie Wand to name a few - all ready and waiting in a fully stocked humidor.
  • Bourbon on tap (yes, on tap, pouring at 18 degrees) including Blanton’s, Buffalo Trace, Angel’s Envy, Elijah Craig, and E.H. Taylor + more
  • 6 Working Smoke Eaters to clean the air
  • Heated, Massage chairs because cigar enjoyment should be zero stress and maximum comfort.
  • Golf Simulator and Retro Pinball
  • Dozens of TVs (including 86" and 100")
  • Personal phone chargers at every seat because your phone isn’t the only thing that stays charged around here.

No passport required. No itinerary delays. Just spirits, cigars, card games with friends, and good times.

So here’s the headline for cigar lovers across Northwest Ohio:
